Sow directly in the garden in full sun and well-drained soil, placing 2-3 seeds per inch. Thin to 3 inches apart when plants are 3 inches tall. When onions are pencil-thick, begin pulling for table use.
Did you know you can grow these onions in containers? Sow two to three organic onion seeds per inch. Thin seedlings to three inches apart when they grow three inches tall. If sowing in rows, sow bunching onion seeds around 12 inches apart. Also, be sure to sow seeds in a well-draining soil! Follow these directions when planting; your onion plants should grow just fine!
