Direct Chaters Double Hollyhock seeds outdoors anytime after the soil warms in the spring, but no later than two months before autumn frost. They may also be started in a sunny window 6 to 8 weeks before moving outside. Transplant carefully. Stake as needed in windy locations. For best blooms, treat as biennial reseeding annually.
Plant as a backdrop behind masses of solid zinnias for repetition of color in contrasting form.
