For earlier blooms, start indoors in 3 inch peat pots 8 weeks before the last frost. Cover with 1/4 inch of soil. Or, after all danger of frost, sow in open ground well exposed. Cover lightly. When plants are 2 inches tall, thin or transplant. Before transplanting harden off the seedling.
Excellent for temporary screens, hedges, and ground cover. Support by a trellis, strings, or wires to cover unsightly tree stumps or rocks. Keep soil moist.
