In cooler climates, plant from spring to early summer. In warmer climates, plant from fall to spring. Select a sunny spot receiving at least six hours of full sun daily. Prepare the planting area by removing sod and weeds. Sow seeds by broadcasting—evenly hand-scattering seeds mixed with a carrier material like sand or peat moss. Or, in cold climates, consider frost seeding by broadcasting seeds over snow-covered soil on a sunny, late-winter day, leveraging the melting snow to settle the seeds into the soil. Sow seeds at the recommended rate, ensuring good seed-to-soil contact. Keep soil consistently moist until seeds sprout. In hot weather, water daily. Expect a period of establishment that can last from one to three growing seasons. Allow plants to flower and reseed to maintain the garden and support pollinators.

"These wildflowers seeds immediately sprouted. Only took about a week for them to pop up and about 6 weeks for them to start to bud. Looks like the cosmos grew the strongest and largest. The package comes with tons of seeds as well! Plenty for a medium to medium-large sized garden bed. Didn’t have any issues with the seeds not germinating."
"I really like these wildflower seeds. I love that it comes with a variety of different types of flowers. Within one week after planting my seeds the flower buds started sprouting out of the ground. The flowers are very easy to plant by just spreading them, cover and water. Also these flowers can be planted during the fall as well as spring. They are around $40 and I think well worth it."

"Ferry-Morse Southeast Mix Bulk Wildflower Seeds actually sprouted in my planter box! I have been unable for some time to get new flowers to even sprout. With planting late in the year and the odd weather (drought with high heat)…I saw this is why they have not bloomed. But I still consider this a success with the seeds sprouting through all of that. I will most definitely try this seed mix again next year!"

"Packaging was easy to open and reuse to store what seeds I didn't use. Initially I just threw seeds in my existing wildflower garden, not knowing if they'd germinate and sprout, but they did. I just threw the seeds on the ground, watered them, and they took off on their own. Instructions were very easy to follow, even though I didn't follow them. The blooms are vibrant and full. It's too early to know what the flowers will be like in the spring and they didn't have much time to grow because of the sudden change in weather. "Robust seed variety! I was so giddy opening up the seed to find such variety, I scattered my Southeast Wildflower seeds in a medium small pot for my first try. I’m so excited to see how they do outside getting southern facing sun! I simply spread them evenly over moist potting soil and gently pressed them with an extra sprinkle of water on top. I’m looking forward to seeing how the sprout and grow but I love how easy and low maintenance wild flowers are! The bag of seed was large and FULL and worth the cost!!"
"I'm really excited to see these plants bloom. Currently, we only have a few sprouts emerging from the soil, but soon we should have a display of beautiful flowers in full bloom. I wish there was a way to update the review once the flowers blossom, but unfortunately, there isn't enough time in the task for that to happen. Overall, the process was very simple: just purchase some quality potting soil and sprinkle the contents of the package into the prepared dirt. I also added some to another area to observe how it would grow there, but I can't tell if the sprouts are developing properly in that spot yet. Hopefully, soon, something will bloom and add vibrant color to our garden."
