Instructions Chevron Forward

In cooler climates, plant from spring to early summer. In warmer climates, plant from fall to spring. Select a sunny spot receiving at least six hours of full sun daily. Prepare the planting area by removing sod and weeds. Sow seeds by broadcasting—evenly hand-scattering seeds mixed with a carrier material like sand or peat moss. Or, in cold climates, consider frost seeding by broadcasting seeds over snow-covered soil on a sunny, late-winter day, leveraging the melting snow to settle the seeds into the soil. Sow seeds at the recommended rate, ensuring good seed-to-soil contact. Keep soil consistently moist until seeds sprout. In hot weather, water daily. Expect a period of establishment that can last from one to three growing seasons. Allow plants to flower and reseed to maintain the garden and support pollinators.

Filled in nicely

"I was really excited to receive this wild flower mix to fill in an area my husband and I recently cleaned out. The bag of seeds was plentiful and the germination rate was very high. The barren land now looks lush and green. I cannot wait to see which flowers bloom and hopefully it will be a nice boost for the bees before fall creeps in."

— Skye B. (5/5)

Couldn’t have been a more perfect wildflower seed mix!

"I was actually trying to decide what to do with a an empty fall flower bed and I hadn’t purchased any seeds or seedlings yet, so it couldn’t have been more perfect timing. The fact that this mix is specifically made for my location and growing climate makes it a truly amazing sample! I’m excited that a good majority of the flowers are perennials, too! Can’t wait to see the results!"

— Sarah L. (5/5)

Ferry-Morse Midwest Mix Bulk Wildflower Seeds

"Ferry-Morse Midwest Mix Bulk Wildflower Seeds contains a variety of wonderful wildflowers that are suited to my Midwest climate and environment. I planted a sample in an indoor pot, as currently it is getting too cool in my northern state to adequately grow and overwinter perennials. I plan to plant the remainder in spring so I can fully enjoy the annuals and perennials. The seed mixture was easy to plant and grow and they were hardy as they sprouted. I cannot wait to see them bloom now in my house and again in spring when I plant them in my yard!"

— Kathleen T. (5/5)

Ready for gorgeous flowers

"**Thanks to Ferry-Morse for providing this 1 lb. bag of flower seeds free of charge through the Influenster program for my review! I am anxiously awaiting the germination of my Ferry-Morse Midwest flower mix! I planted the seeds in the fall with hopes of beautiful annuals and perennials in the spring! The photos of the finished product look amazing, and I hope my beds look just as gorgeous! This mix is specific to my region, with a number of native plants, so I have high hopes. A few that I’m most excited about are the purple coneflowers, asters, poppies, and black-eyed Susans! Also, I’m so glad I used the QR code on the bag— super helpful info there!"

— Kara M. (5/5)

Beautiful flowers

The beautiful flowers would make yout day. It is very hardy and healthy. I would highly recommend this product and ensure i plant them every year."

— Sam S. (5/5)

— Cheryl V. (4/5)

Very good mix

"Very good seed quality, good germination and very easy to plant. The seed are being growing as I planted. Looking forward to see my wild flowers."

— Alo C. (5/5)

More Native Plants Please!

"I would prefer if it was all native species rather than mix of native and naturalized. The content mix is also more naturalized wildflowers than native wildflowers, which is also a slight disappointment. Still better than a dead abandoned lots and spaces in areas though."

— Edward H. (4/5)

"So beautiful! I love the variety of seeds I got and my lawn is going to be looking absolutely gorgeous. These are definitely good quality and worth the price!"
