Tarragon is an herb that is commonly used in flavoring chicken, fish and egg dishes. One of the biggest differences between Russian tarragon and French tarragon is how they're grown. French tarragon does not produce viable seeds and therefore must be propagated. Russian tarragon is grown from seed.

Russian tarragons taste differs from that of French tarragon because it is not as potent. Don't let that fool you though, many people enjoy and actually prefer using Russian tarragon because of this fact!
