"Unfortunately I have not had a good experience with your seeds. The replacement seeds did sprout but did not thrive. They grew thin and wilted. Of all that I planted there are two little ones that look like they might grow but the other four types never made it to an inch tall"
"I’m so happy with this special delivery! I am very pleased that it is organic! I was looking to grow some herbs this summer and these came right in time! Highly recommend !"
"These seeds germinated pretty quickly, like a day before the package said. There was a good germination rate. I am not able to tell you if I have enjoyed the basil yet because they are not ready to harvest yet. I planted them in a pot on the windowsill."
"I've added 100% USDA organic non gmo Genevieve Basil to my potted garden. The basil germinated in about 10 days and can be harvested in 85 days. In my area we will still have weather warm enough through October so this is perfect. We make so many things with basil I was so happy to receive these complimentary seeds from Ferry-Morse and Influenster."
"Everyone who cares about their health should eat organic food whenever possible. Therefore, this year I began to grow greens myself on the balcony. these seeds are easy to plant in pots on the balcony, basil and parsley grow very quickly, I add them to salads, they have a rich taste, now I have my own garden"
"These basil seeds sprouted very quickly, about a week after I planted them. I was impressed that everyone I planted sprouted. I love the packaging and that they are organic. I am very excited to watch them grow and to harvest and try out the basil! I live in a northern climate and they seem to be doing well so far!"
"This basil was marked as a container variety, so I thought I’d try to grow it indoors. Did NOT work. It was in an east-facing window with lots of other houseplants that have been doing very well. However, it seems that was still not enough sun for the basil to grow. It was very thin and leggy and eventually ended up dying. Outside, on the other hand, the basil has been growing just fine. It’s been growing slowly but steadily and doing well even though we’ve had a lot of very hot days lately. Overall, I’d recommend these seeds for outdoor use, but not for indoor use."
"I received Ferry-Morse Basil instead of the Lavender but that's okay with me as I would've picked it as my second choice. The seeds came in a secure little envelope which was easy to pour out and into the soil. I used an indoor planter and the seeds have already started growing producing little Basil plants! I can't wait to be able to use it!!"
"I have grown many Ferry Morse seeds in the last few years and they’ve all been good growers/producers. One thing to note is these seeds do need to be started inside for 6 weeks so that is something that needs to be planned ahead for. I don’t notice any difference in taste or quantity of leaves between the organic and regular variety, so I will probably opt for the regular variety in the future. I have only grown this basil indoors so I cannot attest to how it does outside."
