In cooler climates, plant from spring to early summer. In warmer climates, plant from fall to spring. Select a sunny spot receiving at least six hours of full sun daily. Consider adding light compost or topsoil to the site to provide seed-to-soil contact for germination, especially if sowing into an existing grass lawn. Sow seeds at the recommended rate and gently rake them for good seed-to-soil contact. Keep soil consistently moist until seeds sprout. In hot weather, water daily.
