Product Information Chevron Down Chevron Forward

Tarragon seeds are of Russian origin and grown in the Netherlands.

Tarragon has thin, blade-like, highly aromatic leaves.

Tarragon leaves are spicy and sweet—they're wonderful in cold meat sauces or with eggs, cheese, and fish!

These seeds should take 10 to 14 days to germinate and only a few more days to show their first leaves!

Tarragon can flavor vinegar by steeping leaves for two weeks, then straining. This hardy herb makes an excellent addition to any kitchen, allowing for a wide range of culinary uses.

Q: What's the difference between Russian and French Tarragon?

A: French Tarragon comes from herb cuttings, while Russian Tarragon is taken from seed.

Instructions Chevron Down Chevron Forward

Start seed indoors in a sunny location 6 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Or, sow directly in well-drained soil in full sun after danger of frost is past. Thin or transplant plants to 18 inches apart when they are 3 inches tall and keep well weeded and watered. Pick leaves as needed.

Planting Depth: 0.125"

Seed Spacing: 18"

Nutrient Care Instructions: Apply SUPERthrive once per week. Soak in solution of 1/4 tsp per gal for 15 min. or longer depending on size and type.

Suggestions Chevron Down Chevron Forward

To store leaves, dry or freeze them. As plants mature, allow them to dry out thoroughly between watering. Harvest the entire plant when the lower leaves turn yellow. Good vinegar flavoring when leaves are steeped for 2 weeks then strained.
