Sow seeds in a sunny spot after all danger of frost has passed, or start indoors and transplant when the first true leaf appears. For longer, straighter fruit and to save garden space, grow near a trellis or in a cage to promote climbing. Allow for at least 1 foot between plants.

"The Ferry-Morse Cucumber Sumter Organic Seeds have been fast growing. I first placed them between a wet paper towel in a closed container. They were growing within a week, at which point I potted them. A week later most of them were still growing well. I'm hopeful I'll be able to plant them in the ground or a larger pot in 2 weeks. "These seeds are a really great option if you plan on growing your own cucumbers! They are very well stored and packaged and none of them looked disappointing to say the least. I will say that out of the 4 I planted, only 2 grew so you have about 50/50 odds. BUT you do get a good amount of seeds so that if some don't work out you can just plant another. The directions are very easy to read and has good tips for growing, they're labeled organic which is nice and so far I haven't had any pest issues but that can always become an issue as they continue to grow."
