In cooler climates, plant from spring to early summer. In warmer climates, plant from fall to spring. Select a sunny spot receiving at least six hours of full sun daily. Prepare the planting area by removing sod and weeds. Sow seeds by broadcasting—evenly hand-scattering seeds mixed with a carrier material like sand or peat moss. Or, in cold climates, consider frost seeding by broadcasting seeds over snow-covered soil on a sunny, late-winter day, leveraging the melting snow to settle the seeds into the soil. Sow seeds at the recommended rate, ensuring good seed-to-soil contact. Keep soil consistently moist until seeds sprout. In hot weather, water daily. Expect a period of establishment that can last from one to three growing seasons. Allow plants to flower and reseed to maintain the garden and support pollinators.

Fresh seeds with good germination.

"I planted these seeds about 6 weeks ago and they have germinated nicely and are about 8-12” tall before being about to bloom. Seems like the marigolds are dominating. I’m excited to see what blooms before our growing season is over. I am also excited to start them early spring next year. I can tell that these are quality, fresh seeds."

Maybe they’ll do better planted in springtime

"I have high hopes for these seeds to blossom into beautiful flowers, but we are still expecting. I’ve been watering the seeds as often as I can considering this isn’t the prime time to be planting for my area. You can see my previous blossoms’ tall grasses that I planted around, but I have yet to see my little seedlings blossom. It’s been an incredibly dry and hot summer, so I hope to retry in the spring when it is planting time here in Missouri. The photos on the bag show amazingly beautiful colored flowers that I hope to grow."

"I really enjoyed trying the Ferry-Morse Flower Mix 🌸🌱. The seed blend is diverse and features a beautiful assortment of flowers; this variety makes gardening much more fun. I also appreciate the user-friendly packaging—it’s perfect for anyone who loves growing flowers at home or in the garden. It has been a delightful experience, and I look forward to seeing the flowers as they start to grow and bloom. 🌼💚"

Great mix for my garden

"I really enjoyed using this Ferry- Morse Flower Mix. The packaging is colorful and easy to spot. i like that it’s designed to bring a variety of flowers into the garden rather than just one type. It’s a simple way to add more color and make the yard feel a little more lively. I also like the idea of attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies, which is a nice bonus. The mix is easy to work with and doesn’t feel intimidating for a casual gardener. I’m looking forward to see which flowers come up and how mix fills out overtime. Overall, it’s an affordable and fun option for adding some variety and natural color to a garden."

Great mix!

"Can’t wait to see these sprout up! I just planted them in my yard and the mix will be super pretty for my California yard. They were easy to plant and mix into the soil"

— Skyla K. (5/5)

I don't think you want to post this review

"For my $39. 99, the seeds I received were entirely little yellow marigolds, with only 2-4 other flowers in a 6 foot by 4 planter. It is a nightmare and I requested a refund. I was denied a refund based on a 30 day rule, even though the plants hadn't bloomed in 30 days. I did received another seed pack of same value, and who knows what those seeds will be like. The gift certificate for Mother's Day was a total loss and I had to break the news to my son, who has repeatedly apologized. Very disappointed. I chose Sperry Morse as I have always considered it a reliable company. I could have ordered from Amazon for all the difference."

"Ordering more!"

— Tammy (5/5)

Excited for outcome

"Our plan is to fill this space with these flowers to make it more vibrant and enjoyable! We have laid the seed but have yet to see any grow! We are excited for what this will look like!!"
