In cooler climates, plant from spring to early summer. In warmer climates, plant from fall to spring. Select a partial to full sun spot receiving three to six hours of sun daily. Prepare the planting area by removing sod and weeds. Sow seeds by broadcasting—evenly hand-scattering seeds mixed with a carrier material like sand or peat moss. Or, in cold climates, consider frost seeding by broadcasting seeds over snow-covered soil on a sunny, late-winter day, leveraging the melting snow to settle the seeds into the soil. Sow seeds at the recommended rate, ensuring good seed-to-soil contact. Keep soil consistently moist until seeds sprout. In hot weather, water daily. Expect a period of establishment that can last from one to three growing seasons. Allow plants to flower and reseed to maintain the garden and support pollinators.

"I got fairly good germination. Unfortunately this review is due before I can thin out and really get a good idea of what came up. It looks like I’m getting a somewhat diverse mix but it’s hard to tell from the first sets of leaves. I’m looking forward to how they bloom. The packaging and instructions were easy to use."
"I recently planted the Ferry-Morse Cool Colors Mix Bulk Wildflower Seeds, and I’m already so excited to watch them bloom! I appreciate that the types of flowers and their percentage of weight within the bag was all listed on the package. I think the blue, purple, and pink flowers will look absolutely beautiful together. I think it’s the perfect combination of calming and vibrant colors, and I can already picture how gorgeous my yard will look once they start to bloom. One of the things I love most about this wildflower mix is that it includes both annuals and perennials, so I’ll get to enjoy them for many years to come. "I planted these seeds on a Saturday and they sprouted very quickly in 2-3 days! I’m hoping to see flowers soon since many healthy sprouts have sprung up. For next time, I would use more soil and a deeper, wider container so that the plants don’t have to compete in a narrow, confined space. Lucky for me, I have close to a pound of seeds left to continually enjoy the wildflowers!"

"We LOVE the Ferry-Morse wildflower mixes for filling out some areas outside around our home. I love the assortment of colors and flowers and they always create a beautiful bit of chaos in areas that we don't have much else planted. This is the first year I'm trying the cool colors mix and I can't wait to see the results! Unfortunately we just got into planting season about a week ago so I don't have any pictures of blooms to share yet, but I have no doubt they'll be just as beatiful as the other mixes we've tried.
