In cooler climates, plant from spring to early summer. In warmer climates, plant from fall to spring. Select an area receiving strong, filtered sunlight or two to four hours of full sunlight daily—unsuitable for densely shaded locations. Prepare the planting area by removing sod and weeds. Sow seeds by broadcasting—evenly hand-scattering seeds mixed with a carrier material like sand or peat moss. Or, in cold climates, consider frost seeding by broadcasting seeds over snow-covered soil on a sunny, late-winter day, leveraging the melting snow to settle the seeds into the soil. Sow seeds at the recommended rate, ensuring good seed-to-soil contact. Keep soil consistently moist until seeds sprout. In hot weather, water daily. Expect a period of establishment that can last from one to three growing seasons. Allow plants to flower and reseed to maintain the garden and support pollinators.

"These seeds are fast growing, but you must keep them watered. We live in an area experiencing record heat waves. If you are not in this type of environment this year, your flower beds will do much much better. Instructions are easy, no real hassle. I can't wait to see the end results."

"I recently planted the Ferry - Morse Shade Mix Flower Seeds and so far I am happy with how they are coming along. The seeds have started to germinate, and the young plants are developing nicely. They’re been fairly easy to maintain with regular watering and care. I haven’t seen any flowers yet, but I’m excited to see what varieties bloom and what the finished garden will look like. Overall, a fun and easy mix to grow, especially if you enjoy watching flowers develop from seed!"
"It looks like a great seed mix. There seems to be a variety of seeds in the bag. I am not sure that there are as many as mentioned on the bag, but some if the seeds say they are a very small percentage. I have to wait until it gets colder to actually plant these because I do not want them to sprout and then die. Some require on over-winter freeze cycle to actually germinate, so I will be planting them this fall. One thing to note is that they can’t be planted in full shade. They do need some sun (1-4 hours of direct sunlight). This could be a misconception with the seed bag title. I am excited to see what will come up, but it looks like quality seeds. I gave it 4 stars because it should have more info about planting before winter to germinate properly. I also can’t verify the success of them actually coming up yet."
"Such a fun way to add some color to your yard! I love this mix of different flowers instead of having to choose everything individually. "This bag of flower seeds was just what i needed to add the perfect amount of color to my front lawn. I simply spread some of the seeds in the front and already starting to see sprouts. "These were easy to plant. The mix was entirely seeds and not fillers. All of the seeds looked healthy and hearty. Since they must be planted in the fall for spring, the hardiness of the healthy seeds should make it through winter. Pest and disease should stay at bay too.
