Grandpa Ott Morning Glory is a half-hardy annual flower.

It produces vibrant blooms throughout the summer, making it a reliable addition to any garden.

Grandpa Ott is a very old morning glory variety that has dramatic dark purple flowers with a red star. It has been cherished by gardeners since the 19th Century for its deep color and vibrant blooms. Its leaves are mid to dark green and heart-shaped, a strong foliage for the trumpet-shaped blooms. They flower in the early morning, from summer until frost. Morning glory blooms are a signature feature of any garden, delivering a vibrant splash of color each day.

Please note that morning glory seeds are for planting purposes only. Toxic to animals and humans if ingested. Keep seeds out of the reach of pets and children.

Easy to Use

"These flowers are truly wonderful. I love how the packet is easy to open and how the seeds only take 50 days to bloom. I found these very easy to use and I’m satisfied with them."

So beautiful

"I received this product complimentary from Influenster and Ferry-Morse in exchange for my honest review. The packaging was nice, and the seed quality was good! My kids and I followed the directions and planted the seeds in our front yard about a week ago. They were super easy to plant and take care of. Morning glories are so pretty. I can’t wait to see them bloom."

Daisyp50 (5/5)

Excited to try!

"I was excited to try these but they were lost in the mail and I didn’t receive until August. For my zone it says to plant between April-July. Might be too late to see plant growth but I will try anyway. I have heard good things about their seed quality tho."

Thebleachblondeh (5/5)

Nice

"These seem to be growing nicely. Started to see sprouts quickly and I believe these will be high yielding. I had these in my front yard as a kid and love the way they look and smell. They are doing well in a mix of potting soil and I’ve seen no bugs."

Easy to grow and gorgeous!!

"I've always been told I have a green thumb, so I knew these morning glory seeds from Ferry & Morse were going to take off!! And boy, did they ever! The deers haven't given a hoot about them either, which is so important in my area. . the blooms are starting to open, and the Grandpa Ott variety is just gorgeous! Highly recommend 👌"

Lacyp28 (5/5)

So beautiful

"Amazingly beautiful 🥲 I absolutely love flowers and I’ve never had Grandpa Ott before. These are so cute. Germination took a short amount of time the packaging was sustainable and not messy. Customer service is wonderful if you have any questions. I highly recommend this"

Annallissia (5/5)

It didn't work for me, but the weather is to blame.

"They seemed like they would be good seeds. I also tried soaking in warm water and knicking them like they suggested, but mine did not grow at all. Where I live had a really bad heat wave and then areal flooding so I am gong to blame the weather. I will try this brand again."

Bethy1606 (5/5)

Can’t wait for them to Bloom!

"My kids enjoyed planting the seeds in our front yard. Now we wait 60 days for them to bloom. We followed the dates on the chart on the back of the package. I received this product complimentary from Influenster and Ferry-Morse in exchange for my honest review."

Kellyannr (5/5)

Beautiful color

"Just planted these outside near our lattice and we can't wait for them to bloom. Morning glories are so pretty and hardy. Only thing I'm worried about is the deer. They leave my Vining black eye Susan's alone but they've been eating my roses. We'll see how they hold up to the pests. My mom's morning glories always have lots of big beautiful flowers and I'm hoping mine will too."

Nadiaaa3410 (5/5)

Good flowers

"I’ve always used Ferry Morse seeds to garden, so has my mom and grandma so I have followed what they do because the seeds never fail! I find it hard to review flower seeds because I’m not a super active gardener- so I don’t know much of a difference other than these have always done well!"
