Product Information Chevron Forward

This Jiffy pellet refill pack comes with sixteen 50mm expanding peat pellets.

Pellets will fit 16 and 36-cell Jiffy Tomato Greenhouses. This is Jiffy's largest peat pellet size, perfect for seed-starting plants that will grow larger, more complex root systems, such as tomatoes and peppers.

Add warm water and watch them expand! More detailed instructions for use come with the product packaging.

What you'll get:

At 50mm, these are Jiffy's largest pellets, giving developing seedlings extra room to build a stronger, more established root system before transplanting. Each pellet is wrapped in a mesh netting that expands along with the peat, so when it's time to transplant, the entire pellet goes directly into soil or a larger container with no repotting shock and minimal root disturbance. That netting also keeps the pellet's shape intact throughout the growing process, making it easy to move, water, and monitor seedlings individually.

Peat is not a good seedling starting mix

"I ordered the old stock off your website. I asked your customer rep what was the difference and was told its just the old packages. No difference in the product. I found the 50 mm pellets to be extremely hydrophobic. Boiling water worked to initially hydrate them but they dried out hard on the inside. Seedlings can only be watered so much without fungal issues or dampening off."
