Sierra Gold Heirloom Cantaloupe has a very small seed cavity in its 6" diameter that makes it ideal for serving in halves.
The sweet and juicy golden flesh of this fruit is high in vitamins A, B, and C. The cantaloupe plants are also tolerant to powdery mildew. If started indoors, try not to disturb the seedling roots too much at transplant.

Seed Spacing: Sow Sierra Gold Heirloom Cantaloupe seeds roughly 4' apart, keeping rows of seeds approximately 4' apart.

Instructions: Start Sierra Gold Heirloom Cantaloupe seeds indoors 4 weeks before transplanting outdoors. CAUTION: Take care not to disturb the roots when transplanting. Or, sow a few seeds over a hill 9"-12" tall and 2' across. When plants are 3" tall, thin to 3 plants per hill. Use a balanced fertilizer to increase yield.
