Thyme is hard to sprout

"The instructions on the ferry morse thyme I bought stated sowing to 1/4th inch depth, they never came up. I had to check gardenning articles online which said the seeds should be top sown, and not covered, because thyme seeds require sunlight to germinate, after adjusting to top sown, I got 2 sprouts out of around 50 seeds, I have them in starter pots indoors. Watering is a challenge, any flowing liquid buries the sprouts (they are tiny and seem to take a long time to grow out of this stage), online articles suggest a spray bottle instead of a watering can and that seems to do the trick. Sigh, they are still tiny. . It's been weeks and they have yet to sprout secondary leaves. Insert a thyme/time joke here."

They grew

"These organic thyme seeds are a gardening gem. Germination rates are impressive, and they yield aromatic, flavorful thyme that elevates any dish. Ideal for both seasoned gardeners and newbies, these seeds produce robust plants that thrive with minimal fuss. Their organic certification ensures you're growing a pure, natural herb. A must-have for any herb garden. Packaging was not perfect."

Great Results for Our Herb Garden!

"These seeds were great and had a wonderful turn out in germination. The seeds were very viable, and we were able to rapidly grow herbs in our garden, which we've been using all summer when cooking! We had no pesky insects, and I would buy more from this brand"

Fresh Herbs!

"I love gardening and having fresh herbs to cook with so these seeds are the perfect addition to my edible pants. The germination time was standard and they have been pretty hardy, even with some days of extreme heat and lack of watering."

Christam23 (5/5)

They’re growing!

"I was excited to receive these thyme seeds. I’m using a hydroponic grow system to grow the thyme. The seeds are definitely viable. I also put the seeds on a paper towel and wet them before putting them in a small ziploc bag and they started to sprout as well. Can’t wait to see the final result."

Brooked161 (5/5)

Good quality seeds

"I was pleasantly surprised by the number of seeds in the pack. Having grown vegetables from seed before, this was my first time growing an herb from seed. Luckily, the seeds germinated successfully, and I'm very pleased with their quality. (The background isn't thyme; I just wanted an earthy vibe for the picture!)" I also think that the packaging is great to protect the seeds inside."

Meganw379 (5/5)

Organic Seeds

"The package was informative as far as growing, watering, germination and identification. I grew the Thyme indoors, so I didn’t have any experience with pests, that I can speak about. It grew nicely, fragrant and healthy. Organic. Forgot the after photo. Great seeds!"

Cherm4 (4/5)

I got a sprout!

"I needed to complete this review before getting the full results but so far so good! I have a sprout and I’m hopeful that it will continue to grow. I followed the instructions on the packet to plant and am so far please with the results. Easy enough! Can’t wait to have some fresh thyme."

Littlestitious93 (5/5)

Super easy to use

"Super easy to plant and thyme can be added to so many dishes! I love thyme and was thrilled to get these seeds to add to the garden. Ferry Morse is always great and easy to use. Love the bees love thyme too!"

Laguna0952 (5/5)

Grew great!

"Received these seeds from Influenster! The germination rate I was worried about but ended up being what the package says just a couple days late but it did come through! The package isn’t one that would catch my eye but the thyme isn’t a colorful one. I did not have any trouble with bugs attacking yet it’s been out there for a few weeks now and doing great! I do try to keep mine in a greenhouse type thing or inside though. I can’t wait to try other things!"
