Instructions Chevron Down Chevron Forward

In cooler climates, plant from spring to early summer. In warmer climates, plant from fall to spring. Select a sunny spot receiving at least six hours of full sun daily. Prepare the planting area by removing sod and weeds. Sow seeds by broadcasting—evenly hand-scattering seeds mixed with a carrier material like sand or peat moss. Sow seeds at the recommended rate, ensuring good seed-to-soil contact. Keep soil consistently moist until seeds sprout. In hot weather, water daily. Expect a period of establishment that can last from one to three growing seasons. Allow plants to flower and reseed to maintain the garden and support pollinators.

Great

"Loved the variety and color in this mix! 🌼 Super easy to plant—great for beginners. Most seeds sprouted well and attracted bees and butterflies 🐝🦋. A few took longer to bloom, but overall, a great way to brighten up the garden. 💚 Would definitely plant again! 🌿"

Geographically appropriate abundance

"This is an abundance of geographically appropriate flowers! The packaging is nice and light, the seeds are plentiful, and they are good for the environment. I can't wait to see them flourish in the Florida heat! I'm getting a few germinating and the instructions were pretty clear, gotten via a QR code."

Lots of variety in one spot!

"I love the size of this bag and the ease of use. I can’t wait to see what sprouts in my front flower bed. The variety in the bag looks amazing and the instructions for planting on the back of the bag were easy to follow."

Special Seeds

"Even though Ferry-Morse Flower Mix has been around since 1856, this is my first experience using it. I love establishing a more natural, and beneficial backyard garden for my family and its natural inhabitants, by planting in a more natural and native way. I also plant edible garden plants and these seeds sprout flowers that are not only beautiful to look at but attract pollinators, which help my edible plants thrive. My goal is to create an ecosystem that is as beneficial to nature, as it is to my family. I love that the seeds come in a one pound bag, with zero fillers, because more seeds create a larger, and stronger garden. I was pleased to discover that these seeds come specially prepared for the zone that you're planting. My area, the Gulf Coast, was the package that I chose. This takes the guess- work or of what plants will thrive in one particular planting zone. I really like that the seeds include a plants mix of both annuals and perennials. It included a variety of seeds to produce fifteen different plants too. That's a GREAT VARIETY!! Black-eyed Susans and Snapdragons are just two of my favorites included. The back of the package even has a QR code to scan for planting instructions that are helpful and easy to follow! I simply prepared my garden area, followed the directions for planting, and now am anxiously awaiting my little seeds to sprout. Ferry-Morse Flower Mix are a great choice in natural gardening, that I'll look to every year!"

The seeds sprout very fast as long as you keep the

"This sea mix is really nice. It started sprouting within four days. As long as you keep the seeds moist, they will continue to sprout. I am very pleased with how fast everything is growing. I cannot wait to see the end result and will post the pictures once everything is all grown. This is an amazing value!"

Easy to sow,keep watering it

"I got the ferry Morse flower mix,one lb. mine contained the gulf Coast/ Caribbean mix. for instructions you had to scan it. the sowing depth was not very deep, about an inch. i watered it every day. after about a week there was no growth yet. hopefully it will grow here,I live in central Texas and we do get frost in the winter. overall easy to sow"

Helping pollinators + my backyard

"I was so surprised with this product! The bag was much bigger than expected- with the instructions online (accessible via QR code on the back of the bag) it shows one bag could cover about half of a basketball court! With that being said, I barely made a dent in this bag even after filling the planter my husband made for me. I’m so excited that we had got to choose our local wildflowers because they will help our own ecosystem rather than introducing a flower that could hurt ours. Im in a local plant swap group and everyone is always asking about which wildflowers they would plant and now I can introduce them all to this Ferry-Morse Flower Mix. I can’t wait to see how the WF-23 Gulf Coast/Caribbean Mix grows and enhances our back yard. We lost a lot of our natural landscaping with hurricanes Helene and Milton and I am eager to see how this brings back some of the beauty."
