In cooler climates, plant from spring to early summer. In warmer climates, plant from fall to spring. Select a partial to full sun spot receiving three to six hours of sun daily. Prepare the planting area by removing sod and weeds. Sow seeds by broadcasting—evenly hand-scattering seeds mixed with a carrier material like sand or peat moss. Or, in cold climates, consider frost seeding by broadcasting seeds over snow-covered soil on a sunny, late-winter day, leveraging the melting snow to settle the seeds into the soil. Sow seeds at the recommended rate, ensuring good seed-to-soil contact. Keep soil consistently moist until seeds sprout. In hot weather, water daily. Expect a period of establishment that can last from one to three growing seasons. Allow plants to flower and reseed to maintain the garden and support pollinators.

"These seeds were easy to spread over the soil and germinated very well. The bag was a good size and provided a great amount of coverage. The only reason for a 4 star was due to the fact it didn’t flower within the time it said it would so I could not speak on the flower quality."

"I received my Ferry-Morse seeds and got them planted. It said to plant in spring or fall. I’m super excited for them to bloom and bring color to where my yard meets a field! The packaging allows you to see the seed and has descriptions on it. There is clear instructions on the package as well so you know when to plant and such. Can’t wait to see the flowers in bloom!"
