Sow seed indoors in warm well lighted area, 6-8 weeks before last frost. Thin seedlings when they are 2 inches in height, with the final spacing of the plants 10 inches apart.

Semi-dwarf snapdragon seeds great for cut flowers

"I've been starting snapdragons from seed for about 30 years and I'm picky, but I love this variety from Ferry Morse. This variety always germinates well, and is semi-dwarf which is very hard to find. Dwarf snapdragons don't have long enough stems for cutting, and full-size, tall varieties always seem to flop over on the ground unless staked. But semi-dwarf snaps have long enough stems for cutting, and don't require staking. The flowers are beautiful. And these packets always contain a large number of seeds."

Best for intermediate gardeners, so far so good

"I love to fiddle around in my garden and fill it with wild blooms that make my yard look more like a fairy garden than a typical lawn. This little seed pack of Snapdragons from Ferry-Morse is an exciting addition to it! I planted these seeds a few weeks ago and I’ve slowly seen them start to germinate. The seeds are SUPER tiny, so take care when opening the package. You want to spread only a couple at a time in your designated pots before transferring them to the ground once they’re ready. I can’t speak to how they are in bloom as they’ve only been planted a little while, but so far the seeds are germinating as expected and they should have a wonderful multicolored bloom to harvest soon!"
