In cooler climates, plant from spring to early summer. In warmer climates, plant from fall to spring. Select a sunny spot receiving at least six hours of full sun daily. Prepare the planting area by removing sod and weeds. Sow seeds by broadcasting—evenly hand-scattering seeds mixed with a carrier material like sand or peat moss. Or, in cold climates, consider frost seeding by broadcasting seeds over snow-covered soil on a sunny, late-winter day, leveraging the melting snow to settle the seeds into the soil. Sow seeds at the recommended rate, ensuring good seed-to-soil contact. Keep soil consistently moist until seeds sprout. In hot weather, water daily. Expect a period of establishment that can last from one to three growing seasons. Allow plants to flower and reseed to maintain the garden and support pollinators.

"The packaging is lightweight but once you open it, it will not close. I just roll it and store it but pests could easily get in. The amount of seeds will cover my entire front yard easily and they grow fast! I first used it in the classroom with students to see if they can successfully make a floating garden. The items the kids made did not hold up well and oversaturated the dirt/seeds and they still began to sprout in 2 days in a darker environment and are still going strong. It is not planting season for them yet, that will be a few months in my area but this test run has shown me a lot of potential. I will say the seed mix is not specially native to my area and seem like they might have to be watched just in case, especially the Chinese forget me nots and the wallflowers."
