Product Information Chevron Down Chevron Forward

The catnip herb is a member of the mint family that gets its name because of its particular attraction for cats!

The herb every cat loves, our catnip plant seeds should germinate for you in 8-12 days under the right growing conditions. For bushier catnip plants, pinch back tops of their shoots when buds appear. Can also be grown for bee forage.

Young leaves and shoots also impart a lemony-mint flavor to everyday cooking and catnip tea.

Tiny seeds, most didn't sprout

"These seeds are extremely small, so I ended up planting more than I intended. Only 2 of the seeds sprouted, but those 2 grew well. These were planted in an indoor container under a plant light."

Lovely Green Stuff That Cats Are Supposed to Like

"It took a long time to appear in our window box but once it did it came in lush and thick and green. The cats don't see too interested in it but we're enjoying watching the plants climb up the railing of our balcony."

Mitch (5/5)

Great Germination

"All mint family plants although they sprout the year planted they really take off in their second year."

Kristina H. (5/5)

"Arrived quickly but to cold to plant yet so can’t say how they are yet."

Sandy (5/5)

Did not bloom - ??

"I read on the Internet to place seeds in the freezer overnight, then soak in water before planting. This approach worked very well, resulting in fast sprouting and high rate of germination .. But after 120 days of growth, not one plant bloomed of the six pots . Harvested them today. Also read that these plants may not bloom the first year....is that true for this specific Nepeta cataria type?? Suggest you put Nepeta Cataria on the packaging."
