The American Giant Sunflower is a very tall summer annual.

These sunflower seeds are a high-yielding variety that provides large, multi-headed flowers with high oil content, making them an excellent choice for harvesting edible seeds.

If you are looking for the tallest and most prominent sunflower, this is the variety for you! American Giant Sunflower can reach up to 16 feet tall with 10-inch-wide blooms. Because of their size, American Giant Sunflowers make for perfect competition flowers. Their ginormous blooms are supported on sturdy stalks with large leaves.

*Please note that Sunflower American Giant Hybrid seeds are large and vary in size. One packet of these seeds could result in only 12-20 seeds per packet.

Instructions Chevron Down Chevron Forward

Sow a few seeds evenly spaced in hills, 8 inches high and 12 inches across. Young vines should have a fence, trellis, or heavy cord on which to climb. When young vines are about 8 inches, thin to 3 plants per hill. Does not transplant well.

Nutrient Care Instructions: Apply SUPERthrive once per week. Soak in solution of 1/4 tsp per gal for 15 min. or longer depending on size and type.

Fast Growing Sunflowers!

"These seeds were pretty good! I got 7 seeds in the pack, I do wish a couple more were included. Anyways, out of those 7 all but 1 sprouted. They grew really nicely and veryyy quickly. I was able to transplant them easily and they were pretty hardy going from potting soil to ground soil. I would definitely recommend these!"

Great Brand!

"We've grown these giant sunflowers before from this brand and the sunflowers grew gorgeous!!! By time I received the seeds and planted them, and my time to review, they haven't fully grown yet as it takes time (plus we're in a drought) the seeds have sprouted above ground! I use organic pesticide and so far insects or critters have touched them! Although they haven't fully grown, I have used this brand in the past multiple times for fruits, vegetables and other flowers and have always had good success and highly recommend!"
