Instructions Chevron Down Chevron Forward

Sow a few seeds over a hill 9 to 12 inches tall and 1 foot across. Choose an area with full sun after any chance of frost has passed. Thin to 3 plants per hill when 1 inch tall. When vines are 3 inches high, thin to the strongest plant in each hill. Use a heavy organic mulch to control weeds.

Planting Depth: 1-1.5"

Seed Spacing: Sow Jack O Lantern Pumpkin seeds roughly 8' apart in rows, keeping rows approximately 8' apart.

Nutrient Care Instructions: Apply SUPERthrive once per week. Soak in solution of 1/4 tsp per gal for 15 min. or longer depending on size and type.

Did great in my zone 2-3

"The weather was great this year though only after June as I planted 4 starts around June 10th and the rain and cold stunted them, but as soon as July came it warmed up and these took off. I started pollinating Aug 1st and now have about 7 or 8 pumpkins on 4 vines the biggest one turning orange and Id say weighs about 5 lbs"

I underestimated how large they’d get.

"There were exactly 18 seeds in the pack, and all 18 sprouted healthy plants. Like, By the time May long came my largest vine was already 5 feet long in the month and a half since planting. I figured I’d have room for 3 plants, so I got rid of the rest. But those three vines have taken the whole 12’ garden bed I designated and have now begun to take over my sidewalk. My very first female flower has just bloomed, but there’s probably about 12 other potential pumpkins waiting to bloom. I’ll end up having to prune the vines soon to stop growth and focus on the pumpkins."

"Just keep watering everyday, and feed them with plenty of calcium and miracle compost and grow 1 pumpkin per vine and you will get a good jack"

Great Carving, No To Pies

"This is a great jack o'lantern pumpkin but don't plant thinking you will get two for one. This shouldn't be mentioned for pies as it is horrible for this use. . Outside of pumpkin is orange but inside is very pale yellow and almost tasteless. It will grow nice size pumpkins."
