Welcome to Ferry-Morse Home Gardening!
Buttercrunch lettuce is a slow to bolt butterhead variety. Its compact heads contain heaping layers of deliciously crisp, thick green leaves. A cool weather crop that you can sow outdoors in spring much earlier than other, less frost tolerant plants.
This lettuce variety reaches maturity in roughly 65-70 days from the date it was sown, so be sure to keep track of when you planted your seeds. When harvesting Buttercrunch Lettuce you harvest the entire plant.
Creamy and never bitter!
A wonderful lettuce variety for use in salads.

Lettuce is a cool season crop. Sow directly into the garden as early in the spring as possible. Seed again in late summer for a fall harvest. Seed may be started indoors five weeks before transplanting outside, but seedlings are tender so transplant with care. Harvest the entire plant.
