Grandpa Ott is a very old morning glory variety that has dramatic dark purple flowers with a red star. Its leaves are mid to dark green and heart shaped, a strong foliage for the trumpet shaped blooms. They flower in the early morning, from summer until frost.

Sow Grandpa Ott Morning Glory Flower seeds roughly 6" apart.
After all danger of frost, sow Grandpa Ott Morning Glory Flower seeds in open ground well exposed. Cover with 0.25" of soil. To speed germination, nick seeds and soak overnight in warm water. When plants are 4" tall, thin. Does not transplant well.
Excellent for porches, trellises, or fences. Use stout cord on which vines may climb. If lush growth and no flowers, stop watering.
